Our History

The Living Yahweh 7th Day Sabbath Assemblies (LY7DSA) traces its origins to 1983, when Almighty Yahweh revealed Himself to His servant, Apostle Dr. Philemon Okoh Agyemang, with a divine mandate to โ€œgo and look for the descendants.โ€ In faithful obedience, Apostle Dr. Philemon Okoh Agyemang began ministering in Asamankese, preaching from town to town with dedication and perseverance until he eventually settled in Accra. Years later, in 2009, he received a profound dream in which he was instructed to build a synagogue for Almighty Yahweh within four and a half years. In the dream, he was assured that Almighty Yahweh would send His chosen people to fill the synagogue, and that these members would provide the necessary support to construct an even larger synagogue in the near future. Acting upon this divine direction, construction commenced in November 2012 with the cutting of the sod for a three-storey glass edifice to serve as the headquarters of the ministry. This remarkable structure was completed in November 2017, standing as a lasting symbol of faith, obedience and divine fulfillment

In 2019, Apostle Dr. Philemon Okoh Agyemang received another profound revelation that marked a new phase of expansion for the ministry. As he fasted and prayed, a confirming vision appeared in which he stood on a tall mountain holding a shofar โ€“ an ancient horn. Before him was the map of Ghana, and each time he blew the shofar, a region appeared until all regions were revealed. Subsequently, lags of various nations emerged, signifying a global mission. This vision was further confirmed by a dream from a church member who was told in the dream to inform the Apostle that Elohim Yahweh will visit him soon. Not long after the member's dream, on the Sabbath morning of 27th April, 2019, there was a divine sign โ€“ an unusual rainfall on the dome of the headquarters from 6 am to 8 am, and at exactly 9 am, there appeared a rainbow that covered the entire building for about an hour on the morning of the Sabbath. These experiences propelled the Apostle to fully pursue the ministry's expansion. The first branch in this phase was established at Nyanyano Kakraba in Accra, marking the beginning of a steady and impactful growth. Through consistent preaching, discipleship, resistance to opposition, and the demonstration of Yahweh's power, the ministry continued to reach many souls. The early ministry period was marked by intense prayer and fasting, strong spiritual hunger, deep doctrinal teaching and correction, and resistance from false doctrines and systems. A major turning point came in 2020 during the global COVID-19 lockdown. While restrictions limited in-person gatherings and subsequent lockdowns in many countries, Apostle Dr. Philemon Okoh Agyemang leveraged digital platforms, including 7DSGH TV, YouTube, and Facebook, to preach to a worldwide audience. This period opened the doors for many around the world to hear his message, leading to a remarkable increase in the ministry's visibility, which led to a rise in membership after the lockdown was lifted. Today, Living Yahweh 7th Day Sabbath Assemblies has grown into a vibrant and expanding ministry with 382 branches across Ghana and 15 international branches, with membership exceeding 30,000 both locally and internationally. With a presence in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and beyond, LY7DSA continues to fulfill its divine mandate of spreading the Gospel of salvation and bringing people everywhere to the saving knowledge of the Messiah
